Dear Friends,
I am excited to share the release of our new 2019-2020 Northshore Legacy Annual Report!

With your help, we’ve grown to be a strong, nimble, and essential support for our Northshore Schools District teachers and students. Our Northshore Endowment is an important part of making sure that the Foundation can remain a viable, sustainable support to the growth of our District and students.

This year, the pandemic and transition to on-line learning pushed our community into new territory, increasing the needs of students, teachers, and families. Thanks to the generosity of the community, the Foundation was able to respond, but it left a gap in operational funds, one that won’t be there once our Endowment is fully funded.

Since 2003, our Endowment Fund goal has been to build a nest egg to cover operational costs so 100% of every dollar raised directly supports students and teachers. This year, we met our first endowment benchmark of $250,000, halfway to our $500,000 goal by 2025, thanks to your loyal support. We still have a long way to go, but I know that together, we will achieve our goal for kids.

As you consider your philanthropy, I want to make sure you know about the various ways that you can invest in our students. A gift to our endowment offers another option to support Northshore Schools Foundation, possibly reduce your taxable income and create a meaningful legacy. From bequests to IRA distributions to stock gifts and more, our website, www.NorthshoreLegacy.org, describes many ways to make a legacy commitment for our important work.

We’re so grateful for your commitment to ensuring that all Northshore students have an opportunity for enhanced learning to help them thrive in school and in their future lives.
